My Story:
Born and raised in Littleton, Colorado, I attended the University of Washington and competed in intercollegiate athletics as an oarsman on the UW crew team. I've competed as a professional triathlete and maintained a full-time job as a construction manager with Metropolitan Homes of Denver since 2001. I married my high school sweetheart, CU runner Lindsay Arendt, in August of 2003, and we had our first child, Taylor Addison, in April 2006.
On the racing scene, I've been recognized for several top 10 finishes in races of various lengths and disciplines by being named the USAT Elite Rookie Triathlete of the Year in 2004. Racing highlights include 2003 IM Hawaii and Xterra World Championship combined time amateur double champion, 2004 US Snowshoe Champion, and top 10 podium finishes at the Xterra World Championships (2006), Xterra National Championships (2004, 2005, 2006), Wildflower (2004, 2005), Boulder Peak (2007, 2006, 2004), and top five at the Xterra Regional Championships (Big Bear, Temecula, Keystone and Snowbasin).
